Product Description

—30 Years of History, Back to Zero Once More—

The one-hour TV special "Episode 'ZERO': Shinichi Kudo Aquarium Case," which premiered on January 3, 2026, to kick off the 30th anniversary of the Detective Conan TV anime, is now available on Blu-ray!

This special episode depicts the events shortly before Shinichi Kudo is transformed into Conan Edogawa by the Black Organization's poison, APTX 4869. Set even earlier than Episode 1 of the TV anime, it serves as a prequel within the series' timeline.

Shortly before Shinichi Kudo becomes Conan Edogawa after being poisoned by the Black Organization...

Before they officially begin dating, Shinichi and Ran visit Beika Aquarium to scout the location for the "Aquarium Surprise Reunion Love Revival Operation"—a plan to help Ran's estranged parents, Kogoro Mouri and Eri Kisaki, reconcile.

Their enjoyable outing is cut short when Shinichi notices an unsettling atmosphere surrounding a gathering of people and immediately senses that a crime has occurred.

Drawn to the scent of blood, he rushes to the scene, where a man lies dead in front of one of the aquarium tanks with a fatal stab wound to the heart.

The murder weapon is a knife protruding from a convenience store bag, and stun gun marks are found on the victim's neck.

Joining Inspector Megure's investigation, Shinichi uses a mobile phone to identify three suspects.

The brilliant deductions of the high school detective known as the Crimson Sleuth are about to unfold—

And beyond the case lies another "preliminary inspection" that leads directly to that day—the day he becomes Conan.
